From Concept to Glory - 1995 Ford F1 development
This film tells the story of how Ford adapted to the new rules imposed on the 1995 Formula One season by creating a new car in partnership with Sauber. They reflect on the successes of the 1994 season with Benetton and young driver Michael Schumacher. The 1995 rule changes meant that the winning 3.5 litre engine needed to be replaced. We see the development and testing of the new 3 litre Zetec R. Ford joins forces with Swiss company Sauber to build the new car, which incorporates improved driver safety features in response to the tragic deaths of the 1994 season. Finally, the film shows the track testing of the new car, driven by Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Karl Wendlinger. Sauber-Ford fini...

My parents were from Detroit. My dad was 32 and my mom was 29 in 1951. He predicted its downfall back then and convinced my mom to move to California in 1954, where I was later born. He saw that its capital-intensive economy, which was dominated by one industry, was very nepotistic. Having seniority in the company and kissing the right butts were rewarded instead of innovation. My own research showed me that downtown Detroit in the 1950s was full of clothing stores, but the largest book retailing place was in Hudson's. People took their prosperity for granted and focused on comfort rather than learning and ideas. Narrow mental horizons and divisiveness were well entrenched by 1951.

Love the way the son gets a lovely motor as a present, the procedes to take his first drive behaving like a loon ,finding the most rough, rock strewn track,to try to chip its shiny paintwork & wreck the suspension.Looks like he succeeded,as the wheels @ approx 5.20 definitely don't look like the original Ghia alloys!

Black people DID NOT destroy Detroit. A bunch of paranoid racist White people who were deathly afraid of having Black neighbors had taken the jobs & capital with them to the suburbs, thus leaving a relatively poorer Black population to maintain the city’s infrastructure. Blame yourselves for the decline of the city rather than the people you victimized. If over 1 million white people fled the city, how do you expect several hundred thousands of Black people to maintain an infrastructure built for 2 million? Think logically!!!

1933 - "Get a car!" 2024 - "Get a bicycle!" And they dare to call that shit "progress". Yes, yes, I know: "We must live 'sustainably' (what a stupid word!)! We must save the planet!". Only idiots believe that crap. We are ruled by idiots. And other idiots (brainwashed and manipulated) believe the idiots who rule us, instead of rebelling against their stupid dictatorship. All this makes me puke. We don't want bicycles, we don't want electric cars, we want REAL cars, CLASSIC cars, INTERNAL COMBUSTION cars! SAY IT LOUD AND CLEAR! Don't let yourself fooled by idiots!

That guy sawing the tree was taking unnecessary risk ie no helmet no visor no ear defenders etc, with a chainsaw, all it takes is for the blade to hit a knot in the wood, and it can kickback, bouncing into the users limbs.

@2:38 John Surtees - who's son would go on to die racing at Brands Hatch 42 years later. Jim Clark - A legendary driver with pinpoint control over these cars, would lose his life just 1 year later at Hockenheim...and probably should have been at Brands Hatch racing in the WSCC instead. Jackie Stewart - he who would go on to start the safety eras in motorsports, along with my favorite driver Niki Lauda....both of them sustaining life-threatening injuries in their famous wrecks. While I wish racing was more like it was in the 60's and 70's, I am glad it is much safer these days.
